"For You"... A book recommanded by www.brucespringsteen.fr

"SONGS" is certainly THE book on Bruce Springsteen to have on your bookshelve.

Launch in 1998 by Avon Book New York, very few time after "Tracks" and unfortunatly (for the french) only available in american language.

He got from all the books about the Boss an avantage that the others don't get: he only contains words from Bruce himself.

Bruce come back on almost 25 years of carreer (in 1998) and disk by disk from "Greetings from Asbury Park" in 1973 to "The Ghost of Tom Joad" in 1995 gives his toughts about their conceptions.

He is deeply interesting to discover the feeling that inspires him each of his album and "cherry on the cake" like we say in France: the pictures that illustrate this great book are never seen before or even get out from Bruce Springsteen personnal photo album!

By Dave Marsh at Carrère

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN - Vie de Rocker is certainly the most complete and private book ever wrote on Bruce Springsteen.

Bruce talks about his youth, his parents his friends, he dreams about another king of world and gives his thoughts about subjects like death, religion and of course rock music.

Dave Marsh followed him during his '84-'85 world Tour and gave a terrific portrait of the most bigger american rock star.

This book is (and will probably stay) "The" best witness ever sawn on Bruce Springsteen.

By Robert Hilburn, Rolling Stone Press Book

Before anything else almost 200 photos (most of them taken during "Born in the U.S.A." Tour but also from early begining and "Born to run" and "The River" Tour. So just a fex textes pages...

Robert Hilburn, US contemporary music critic for the Los Angeles Times, talks with a lot of precision aboute Bruce Springsteen '75-'84 carreer.

Book unfortunatly only available in american language with no french edition.

We should remember that France has saddly never been a rock country and for most of french press 1984 wes certainly not "Springsteen year"!?!

Bruce Springsteen became the uncontestable "boss" from US rock. From "A" like American skin to "W" like Weinberg Max, this small guide-book gives all the details of a fullfill carreer. Stories, complete dicography, illustrated and commented, key- dates... Come in the backstage of rock history!
A little book (by his size), amusing and well documented, few (may be no) mistake. I'm gomma read it again from "A" to "W" to confim you what I said...

A big regret: Dave Marsh only wrote fifty more pages and added it to his two first books "Born to Run: The Bruce Springsteen Story Volume 1" from 1975 and "Glory Days: The Bruce Springsteen Story Volume 2" from 1987.

I sincerly think that he is stoling our money! People who read his two precedent and very interesting books will be deceive.

Passing so quicly on the 1985-2003's period is a shame. But surely easy money.

And what should we say about the great pretention of the subtitle: "THE DEFINITIV BIOGRAPHY 1972-2003"?

Mister Marsh do you remember what the word "WRITING" means?
