Hello Bruce!

At last, I made it! This idea of writing you letters through a web site dedicaced to You is quite old... No time to realised it before today. And suddenly, (don't ask me why) I decided to work on it. Even if I get one chance on one million that You read one day these letters, I try it anyway. In 47 years, life learn me one or two things and one of it is: Chance should be push (to the ass, as we say in France). A second things in what I believe deeply: Dream is a powerfull thing. I dreamed all my life and sometimes dream came true. So as said reverend Martin Luther King: "I had a dream..." A dream to give You back (as I said in my Homepage) a little bit of what you gave us, Bruce Springsteen's Fans all around the World.

One of the wildest dream of fans is to enter in his hero's life. The legend, (is it true or not ? We read so many bullshits in newspapers) said that you tried, when you where young, to enter Graceland, Elvis Presley house, to meet him. My way to "meet" you is my web site ! The idea is not as stupid as we could think first. A lot of people spend hours on web site and may be one day, someone close to you will have this strange information: one of these crazy french fans wrote you letters on the web! May be your curiosity will lead you to these page one day or another? It is my goal: not to enter in your life but You to enter in one of your fan's life.

And how all this began ? Let's make a step back in time !

I first jumped in Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's train in 1980, I bought your album "The River" and this River went straight to my heart and soul. I do not remember songs and words going so deep in my life. Even 26 years latter, I listened to these songs and emotion is still the same! But now, I think it is even stronger with this little bit of nostalgy.

During most of my aldult live (I was 20 years old in '80) your albums, music, words, songs, acts, was mixed with period (happy or not) of my life. We all got songs reminding you moments of our lifes. I saw you many times on stage, took hundred of pictures with my Nikon camera (one of my passion), read almost all the book in French or American and english dedicaced to You and so... Began one of your fans like millions of people all around the word.

Little by little, souvenir by souvenir, this page will become pages in www.brucespringsteen.fr web site. It was my goal when in 2004 I first wanted to called this site www.lookingforbruce.com before I discovered that www.brucespringsteen.fr Domain Name was free, nobody bought it !!!...

So let me now bring you to parts of my life, in a journey in a Bruce Springsteen fan's life.

November 7th 2006 Unbelievable, for the first time of my life I took my car and did 800 kilometers to see one of your concert! My wife had the great idea to offer me, for my 47th anniversary birthday (in october) a ticket for your Antwerpen, Belgium concert (the "closest" place from my home). A few weeks before, I felt sad to discovered this very bad news and big surprise: for the first time of your carreer, a Fall tour that will not pass through France ! I could not saw your Pete Seeger Tour concert in Paris Bercy in may because I was... For the fist time of my life (an old dream I realised at last) in USA. And now your Tour forget France! I should be honnest and say that my first feeling was to be very disapointed. Then I began to think about it and came to the conclusion that may be you do not sold enough disks of your "Pete Seeger Sessions" to have another concert in France...!?! Anyway, it was a great show and may be one of my strongest Rock music veteran's souvenir when I will be old enough to tell my grand childrens how I did it!
