Un ''vieux'' fan du Boss / An old Bruces's fan
Depuis 1980 et la sortie de l'album ''The River'' (le 17 octobre) ; je suis devenu un fan inconditionnel de Bruce Springsteen. 45 ans plus tard (P... !), cet album reste encore un de mes préférés.
Il m'aura finalement fallu attendre 1988 pour le voir enfin sur scène à l'occasion de sa tournée ''Tunnel Of Love''.
Avec un regret éternel : avoir raté sa tournée Française ''Born In The USA'' en 1985. Alors qu'il passait le 29 juin à La Courneuve, mon frère avait l'excellente idée de se marier le même jour en Normandie...
Depuis, j'ai eu l'occasion de ne pas rater une seule de ses tournées, allant même, par curiosité, jusqu'à assister à deux concerts consécutifs pour en voir les différences (1992 Human Touch/Lucky Town et 1995 Ghost Of Tom Joad)
Ce concert à Lille constituera mon 20e concert au compteur en 37 ans
Since 1980 and the release of the album "The River" (October 17th), I've become a die-hard Bruce Springsteen fan. 45 years later (shit!), this album still remains one of my favorites. I finally had to wait until 1988 to finally see him live on stage during his "Tunnel of Love" tour. With one eternal regret: having missed his "Born In The USA" French tour in 1985. While he was performing in La Courneuve on June 29th, my brother had the excellent idea of getting married on the same day in Normandy... Since then, I've had the opportunity to not miss a single one of his tours, even going so far, out of curiosity, as to attend two consecutive concerts to see the differences (1992's Human Touch/Lucky Town and 1995's Ghost of Tom Joad). This concert in Lille will be my 20th concert in 37 years.

Nous sommes à New York City depuis l'avant veille et bien-sûr, pas d'autre choix que de tenter ma chance au tirage au sort des quelques billets distribués chaque jour pour casser les pattes aux scalpeurs !
Malheureusement, je ne ferai pas partie des heureux élus. Quelle frustration maximale de se retrouver devant le Théâtre Walter Kerr où dans quelques heures saura lieu une énième représentation de Springsteen On Broadway

We've been in New York City since two days ago, and of course, I have no choice but to try my luck in the raffle for the few tickets distributed each day to snare the scalpers!
Unfortunately, I won't be one of the lucky ones. What a frustrating experience to find myself in front of the Walter Kerr Theatre, where in a few hours yet another performance of Springsteen On Broadway will take place.
